The Shellharbour City Memorial is thought to be one of the most visually appealing memorials in our region. However, members from the Albion Park RSL sub-branch, Australian Korea Veterans Association and Trustee, believe it is not recognised enough by the Illawarra community. The President of the sub-branch, Harry Spicer, told the Illawarra Mercury he wanted an arch built infront of the Harrison Park memorial, in order to make it more recognisable as a designated war memorial for the city. Upon first-hand investigation, our Photo Editor ALYSSA MARTIN has had a closer look.
