The University of Wollongong ranked ninth out of thirteen universities, in results released today from 2012’s Excellence in Research for Australia Report.

The biannual report looks into the quality of research coming out of Australia’s universities and UOW is said to have improved by at least 50 per cent from the 2010 report.

The Current Magazine’s mobile reporter Amelia Lindsay caught up with Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Judy Raper to discuss UOW’s ranking.

They Skyped fellow Current Magazine reporter Andrea Hogan in the newsroom as part of the UOW Journalism Program’s Mobile Reporter initiative.
