The NSW State Government’s decision to cut funding to education by almost $2 billion has raised questions of alternatives for students.

With TAFE teachers fearing for their jobs and students angered that they may be left with a lower quality of education, online alternatives are being considered.

Free online education facilities such as MOOC’s (Massive Online Education Courses) offer courses from leading Universities, awarding students with certificates of completion.

More will be revealed on attitudes surrounding the cuts later today.
