AdFab2012 is swinging into gear, giving Illawarra businesses a chance to learn how ‘new technologies and materials can be at the heart of manufacturing’.
The conference will take place at Wollongong’s Innovation Campus over the 23rd and 24th of April and will feature leading manufacturing experts like Alban Savage, Head of New Product Industrialisation at Cochlear.
“We will explore the relative competitiveness of Additive Manufacturing over traditional manufacturing, we will look at total cost and beyond into customisation, time and so on, showing applications in different markets,” said Mr Savage.
With approximately 80 people registered for day one of the conference so far and all 10 spots for the hands-on workshop filled, the event should be a “roaring” success.
“Additive Fabrication has been around for 30 years or more…New applications are enabling more businesses to compete with applications in medical devices, aerospace, automotive, defence, electronics, optics, communications, consumer goods and more”, from the AdFab website.
AdFab2012 will show attendees how to increase profits, become more competitive and thrive by taking advantage of technology and expertise currently available.
