Held at UOW from March 19-25, the Bollywood in Wollongong Festival will celebrate India’s rich and exciting culture through its program of film, dance, music and food.

A highlight of the event will be the array of Indian films being shown as part of the Indian Film Festival- Bollywood and Beyond from Thursday March 22 to Sunday March 25.

Gujarat NRE Executive Chairman, Mr Arun Kumar Jagatramka said he was looking forward to films including Peepli Live, Aarakshan (Reservation) ,Chak De India (Come on! India), Taare Zameen Par (Stars on Earth), Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India, Wake Up Sid, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (You Don’t Get Life a Second Time) and 3 Idiots.

“I am excited to be sharing some of my favourite Bollywood movies with my second home, Wollongong,” he said.

The festivities will finish on a high with a Family Fun Day from 10am on Sunday March 25. The day will feature free entertainment, kids activities, market stalls, Indian food, dance, cooking lessons and a Bollywood DJ.
