Plans to transform Wollongong’s Rydges hotel into a mental health clinic were announced last year, with hopes of having the project underway three months ago.  The preparations have been forced back due to a lack of detailed floor plans, according to general manager Paul Myjavec.

As reported in the Illawarra Mercury, new drawings have been completed and a development application for the transformation is before Wollongong City Council.‘‘The hotel is still operational and it will be essentially until we start the construction work and really take over,’’ says Mr Myjavec.
